Do my kids need their own devices?
No. You can use one family tablet or phone in family view, or let kids log in on their own device using the shared family code.
Does Tasks ‘n Chores require an internet connection?
Yes. It does. In order to share the hub across multiple devices we need to store the activity in a secure ☁. To access that cloud, you are going to need an internet connection.
How do administrators work?
Administrators are adults who manage the hub. They can add/edit tasks, manage doers, approve payouts, and see activities. You can invite more admins from the ‘Administrators’ settings.
How do I invite my family to join?
Use the ‘Share’ function. You’ll get a QR code and a family pin code. Family members can scan the QR or enter the pin to join your hub in the app.
How do kids complete tasks in family view?
Kids tap a task, select who did it, and instantly see their updated balance with a celebration screen.
How do points work?
Each task has a value. When a doer completes a task, those ‘points’ are added to their balance. Parents or administrators can later pay out these ‘points’ as rewards. You can set you own currency – 100 percent flexible.
How does the app motivate kids?
Every completed task rewards ‘points’, shows a fun celebration, and updates their balance instantly. Kids love seeing their progress!
What does the Activities section show?
Activities is a timeline of all completed tasks and payouts across the whole family hub. You can filter it by tasks or payouts, and even delete items if needed.
What happens after completing a task?
The doer earns the set points, their balance updates automatically, and they get a fun ‘Awesome job!’ message with confetti.
What happens if I delete a completed task from Activities?
It’s permanently removed from the log and from the doer’s stats. Use this if something was logged by mistake.
What if I make a mistake when entering points or payouts?
Admins can edit tasks and delete completed tasks or payouts from Activities. This lets you correct mistakes quickly.
What is a Doer in Tasks ‘n Chores?
A Doer is any family member who can complete tasks. You can add kids, parents, or anyone else in your household. Each do’er has their own balance and activity history.
What is a payout?
A payout is when you convert earned points into a real reward. For example, if points represent screen time or pocket money, you can reduce a child’s balance when they ‘spend’ it. You can choose the amount and add a description (e.g., “1 hour screen time”).
Managing Your Hub
Can I customize rewards?
